(Kingston, Jamaica; 2026 February 25): The Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG), in partnership with the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR), has announced that the 31st CaribNOG Forum will be held on 2026 April 14-16 in Kingston, Jamaica.
At a globally streamed launch on 2026 February 25, organisers confirmed that the regional 3-day forum will take place at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, under the theme: “The Resilient Archipelago: Strengthening the Caribbean’s Digital Core.”
CARIBNOG31 will convene regional and international network engineers, internet service providers, cybersecurity professionals, policymakers, regulators, and technology leaders to address the critical issue of network resilience across the Caribbean. Discussions will focus on strategies to strengthen infrastructure, improve cybersecurity frameworks, and enhance regional interconnectivity amid rising digital demand and emerging cyber threats.
Speaking at this morning’s launch, OUR’s Director-General, Ansord Hewitt, said the OUR was pleased to be hosting this forum, saying it was timely in light of recent natural disasters which tested telecoms network infrastructure. “The forum comes at a particularly timely juncture for us here in Jamaica. Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl in 2024 and Hurricane Melissa in 2025, the need for robust discussions and decisive action around strengthening the resilience of our national networks has never been clearer or more urgent,” Mr. Hewitt said.
