Sanitation services is a basic human need, normally pegged to the provision of potable water and is very necessary in protecting the environment and safeguard the health of citizens. At the direction of the Government of Jamaica, under the pen of Cabinet approval, Jamaica’s agency responsible for the Wastewater Systems – the National Water Commission – entered into country’s first PPP for the construction, operation and management of sewage treatment facilities.
